Diatomix has been developed in our labo while doing research on clumping animal litter. Diatomix is born as a mixture of extreme absorbing light weight minerals.
Greenmix has specifically developed diatomix and diatomix plus to deal with the need of agricultural products in water poor areas.
It can be assumed that water can be found anywhere if drillings are done. The problem, however, is that the water does not retain on the surface after irrigation, i.e. the roots, long enough for the roots to be able to develop sufficiently. The water simply leaks into the loose soil, useless for any kind of agriculture.
Diatomix plus was developed for these areas. Slow working fertilizers are added to the raw base of diatomix. This mixture retains the water and keeps the soil around it moist. The added fertilizers nourish the roots, enabling some agricultural activities. Diatomix has joined in this effort to provide 100 % natural products that are guaranteed to solve these stressful growing conditions. The harvest is determined by the amount of water available. Diatomix plus gives the farmer a maximum result for a minimal amount of available water.

We tested several existing raw minerals on absorption. 10 grams are used and water was added until full saturation was achieved.
